About Coach Tereck
I’m a Southern California–born player and coach, and I bring both junior and collegiate experience along with a defense-first mindset to the SC Flyers. I developed through the Southern California youth hockey system, playing Tier 1 before advancing to Junior A with the Valencia Flyers, where I competed against high-level talent and continued refining my defensive game.
After my junior career, I went on to play defense at California State University, Northridge (ACHA).
I take a lot of pride in the defensive side of the game. I focus on positioning, gap control, and making smart decisions under pressure. Having come up through the Southern California system myself, I understand the path local players take and the details required to succeed at higher levels.
As a coach, I’m focused on building reliable, well-rounded players with strong fundamentals and strong situational awareness. I believe in a structured, team-first environment where athletes develop confidence, accountability, and a complete two-way game.
