About coach heidi
I was born and raised in Southern California, and I started skating at age 4 before joining my first coed roller hockey team at 8. Hockey has always been a big part of my life, and I was heavily influenced by my father, Tom Jeffrey, who played at Cal State University Northridge and coached championship teams for over 30 years.
I played several years of both coed roller and ice hockey, often leading my teams and leagues in points and serving as a captain or assistant captain. In 1998–99, I played for TEAM LA, the LA Kings’ first all-girls travel team. In 2001, I trained and tried out for the USA Olympic women’s ice hockey team and went on to compete in Division 1 women’s tournaments across the United States.
I began coaching in 2018 and now work with skaters and hockey players of all ages and skill levels. I currently coach with the Lady Flyers all-girls travel teams.
I’m passionate about empowering female athletes and continuing to grow the game for girls and women.
USA Hockey, LTS, CAHA, and ASHA certified.
