Coaching Philosophy
I am deeply committed to growing both personally and professionally as a coach. I approach my coaching responsibilities with curiosity and humility, knowing there is always more to learn and new ways to improve.
Through my experiences on the ice, in the classroom, and through professional development symposiums with USA Hockey, I continue to refine my coaching skills while deepening my understanding of the game. I welcome feedback, seek out new perspectives, and actively pursue opportunities to expand my knowledge.
My belief in lifelong learning is more than just a professional mindset. It is a core value that pushes me to continually improve as a coach and explore new, innovative approaches to player development. I understand that the game of hockey and the way it is coached are always evolving, and I am committed to staying at the forefront of those changes.
Personal Message From Coach David
Hockey isn’t just a game to me - it’s been a lifelong passion that has shaped me into the person I am today. From my early days of skating on the pond near my childhood home, to my collegiate career and adventures playing in Europe, hockey has been a constant thread woven throughout my life. Now, as the Director of Coaching and Player Advancement for the SC Flyers, I am excited to continue giving back to the sport that has given me so much.
