VISION
As hockey director my objective is to bring families, coaches and players together in a hockey program that builds a stronger, healthier and happier community. We will give our coaches the support needed to develop quality teams and players. This team of coaches will work together to create a curriculum for the program so we attack each season with a united front. Coaches will develop every team level, from beginner to elite, utilizing a system that capitalizes on the strengths and abilities of their players. The philosophy of our program “WE OVER ME”, creates an atmosphere that unites our players and teams together in a common goal of working hard for others. Whether it’s the coaching staff, an individual team, or the club as a whole, its important to create a positive culture and environment because above all hockey is FUN!
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
As a coach, my mission is to foster individual development and growth on and off the ice. I believe that hard work and player loyalty are essential to establishing team unity. This is the foundation of a successful team. Promoting the importance of the team means consistently challenging players to strengthen their individual skills and personal character. Setting goals with my players is an important part of this process. Working together we identify goals that are measurable, attainable and motivational. I want players to finish the season feeling accomplished as individuals and effective as a teammate. Never stop learning!
REASONS FOR COACHING
I began playing ice hockey at the age of five in Los Angeles and from then on ice hockey has been a very big part of my life. Playing hockey allowed me to live and travel across North America, meeting people and making friends all over the country who shared my love of sports. When my playing career ended I knew that I wanted to be a coach. Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life. I love teaching hockey, putting my years of experience and knowledge into developing skilled athletes.
I feel that playing team sports enriches the lives of young people and gives them skills they will use throughout their lives. Coaching these athletes is an honor and privilege for me.
